Before rebranding as Schreyerhof Studio, Thagne Schreyer, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, established his own office in April 2013. Prior to that, he practiced in Savannah, Georgia, in the small, well-respected, and award-winning firm of Daniel E. Snyder, Architect, PC. He managed new construction, addition & renovation, and historic rehabilitation and restoration—all in the pursuit of contemporary form and idea. From 2009-2013, Thagne was concurrently faculty at Savannah College of Art and Design, School of Building Arts, where he taught architectural design with a focus on design thinking, process, and media.

In 2013, with a move to Baltimore, Maryland, his practice temporarily shifted to include construction in addition to design work. Thagne drew from his many years’ experience working in construction and in carpentry and became a licensed contractor in Maryland in order for the firm to take on design-build and small scale development projects—rejuvenating homes in neglected neighborhoods to provide long-term housing for local residents.

Thagne lives with his family in Lexington, Virginia, and feels that he’s finally found his home here in Rockbridge County.

Schreyerhof Studio is licensed in Virginia, Maryland, and Georgia.  We are excited and proud to offer comprehensive residential and commercial architectural design services for the Southeast region:  Architecture unique to its people, place and use.
